Yes, walk in are welcome. We've done it few times. You can sit by the bar or outside patio if the weather was nice.
Yes! They actually don't take reservations for Beatnick on the River so you might want to arrive early/avoid high traffic times of day if you don't want to wait. You CAN make a "just in case" reservation at Cafe Bonhomme upstairs so if you're not able to get into Beatnick, you'll be guaranteed a table indoors to enjoy all the same delicious food and beverage!
