That depends on where the water is leaking from. Are you noticing the leak from the temperature and pressure relief (T&P) valve, drain valve, or from an outlet pipe connection? In these cases, your water heater most likely is repairable. If, however, your water heater is leaking from the bottom, chances are the tank is too corroded from sediment buildup to be fixed. Water heater leaks can cause a lot of costly water damage if left untended, so be sure to call a plumber as soon as you notice a problem.
