No you board the ride at the bottom. The coaster car takes you to the top and back down.

No, it has multiple lift hills to get you to the top. Just sit back and enjoy. The ride has a very fun layout.
You will get in the coaster car at the bottom. It starts out taking you up hill. There are 3 or 4 times it will shuttle further up the hill till you reach top. The line moves fairly quickly as well. Be sure to ride a second time for half the price.
You wait in line at the bottom and ride the cart to the top.
