Can anyone explain the “no styrofoam egg cartons” policy? They can’t be recycled, but we’re not supposed to put them in the trash. So what are we supposed to do with them? Same question for the pizza boxes. That’s even more ridiculous.

The soft styrofoam (egg cartons) clogs the recycling machine. Only styrofoam that "snaps" may be recycled here.

Best not to buy them in the first place. You can write to the manufacturer about your displeasure. Pizza boxes often contain to much grease to undergo the recycling process.
