If you're going to close early shouldn't you call people that have appointments for that day to let them know?

I receive a call to say Work net would be closing at 12 noon. There have been some issues with the phones.

I didn't get a call. Would've been nice since I had to take time off from work and drive unnecessarily in the snow storm

How did this get sent to me

Usually they do call the day before.
