How long does the tour typically take?

It can run as short or as long as youd like it to. We did a self guided tour and were there 3 hours. We all felt that we could have stayed longer or come back again to see areas we missed.

It is self paced. I would plan for at least two hours. My wife and I were there for about 3. Well worth it!

Depends on your love for history and guns. Lots to see. We were there about 3 hours. My wife was ready to go and I could have stayed longer.

Was in Houston for a wedding, and staying in Waco. Other than Magnolia Farms, hadn't really planned any real sightseeing. I didn't even know this place existed. Did it kind of spur of the moment, and thought a couple of hours should be sufficient! What a mistake! Being retired law enforcement, and with everything they had and the amount of detail involved, you could easily have stayed 4, 5 hours or more and still not absorb everything. Unfortunately, there's little chance I'll get back there, but if you're going to be in the area, it's worth checking out, but be prepared to spend some time there. And as someone else pointed out, wear comfortable shoes

It is almost overwhelming there is so much to see. We spent about 2 hours, and we skipped a lot of it. We could probably go back a few times and still not see it all! It is definitely worth the time though; so much rich history. Also, don't miss the cemetery there next door. Some civil war soldiers are buried there, and others are very old!

It's very interesting, if you're interested in law enforcement, history and/or guns, you can be there 2 to 5 hours or more. They also have a film, and exhibits rotate. We've been several times and find something new each time. Wear comfortable shoes!

3-4 hours. It depends on how in depth you check out the exhibits. Most cases are full of artifacts or weapons and if you do it right you might need more than 4 hours. There is a lot to see.

On my tour i just visited the main gallery and it was an education of Texas history in the making. Time spent was a little over 2 hours, but i will go back to see what i missed.
