Depending on the brand the carb may be able to be repaired. We normally do not clean 2 cycle carbs because they are so tedious and if cleaning doesn't fix the issue you've wasted money. It makes since just to install a new carb most of the time.
Repair. Possibly just a dirty carb. Or clogged up spark arrestor. It's on the muffler
