The Nursing Staff and the attendents /patient aides are amazing, but Dr. Crawford is heartless and insensitive to the needs of patients and their families. If you don't have Passion for your field any longer maybe leaving is an option.

I don't want to kill myself ...just tired of being here

Does anyone know the release criteria or process. My patient insists he will be released today. Will family members and caretakers be informed prior to release.

Every patient at MTMHI must complete the requirements and evaluations of the Treatment Team (Pschologists/MD's, Nurses, and Social Workers) to ensure that they are neither a threat to themselves or others and that they have a plan for continued care upon their release (as for specifics, there are none specifically as every patient's case is different with different requirements). That said, there are also different methods of release that can be done. If you have made the commitment to be a part of the further care of the patient, one of the treatment team members will contact you as to SPECIFICALLY when you will be allowed to pick your patient up. Only unless you have heard from one of these members should you take any information about release times seriously.

This place can help you navigate the ways to get mental help. No one would want to be there for long but they are very helpful.
