Now Nashville TN is getting expensive. I would say if you can hook up with a local person they maybe able to show you some places. Since I am from another state. I went to go see Conway Twitty's home in Hendersonville and Johhny Cash's home that the B-G's bought is out there. I also heard that Dolly Parton has a place in Brentwood, but she is rarely their. There is a place in Green Hills I think it's called the Blue bird cafe for up and coming singers. Also down town you can go to the Country and Western Museum. You can get alot of information from these people who work at these places. There is a bus tour downtown that shows you where Elvis Presley use to record his music in this studio. I believe their are some places on Music Valley Row (I think that's the name) by Opry Mills Mall so you know you are in the right area. They have some live music. As long as you have a Google phone and rent a car. You can get some where. Check out Broadway. Life is an adventure.
There are no tourist traps here JD, everything that you need to see is in walking distance of the convention center unless you want to explore our civil wars cites or the grand ole opry, get a car and go to the opry land hotel if you can. Beautiful place, bring your walking shoes.
Best vegan restaurant in Nashville is Avo. It is delicious even for none vegans. A must try.
No traps, great city
Your definitely gonna wanna check out legends...margaritaville.. Music hall of fame...if you like the show American pickers you can check out their place antique archeology.. And the old Marathon building is right next door. The marathon building is set up like an indoor mall with tons of cool shops like a Harley Davidson store, jack daniels store and I cannot remember the name but there is an amazing sandwich/panini shop with tons of options ..and uses boars head meats and cheeses..I had the Cuban ..it was delicious.. But it is like a free museum the whole building throughout tells u about the old marathon car story..beginning to end...with pictures..old newspapers...antique equipment used then...its definitely somewhere u could spend a day!!! Hope you have fun
