REI holds star-gazing events at Horton Grove.
I heard it was...I've been there on a regular day hike and it seems secluded enough.. a few of people in our group were planning to go for the next full moon.
I have only visited during the day, but I would think the view would be desirable. The dirt road is covered with gravel, and quite muddy after days of rain.
