You can park on the street it's free. That's what I did and just walked to the pier.

What ever you do... don't back into a parking spot. .... they will fine you $64. We had a great day following all the pay for parking rules and come back to a $64 fee. They say you can't park like that. After searching to find where it says that you can't... we found a tiny little sign under the many signs that tell you how to download an app and put in your license plate and all other information to find a tiny sign stating "head only" parking. What the hell!!!!! If they are going to give you a ticket for that much, they should get some big signs and post it away from the procedure of how to park!!!! I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS BEACH EVER AGAIN. WHAT A JOKE. RUINED MY AFTERNOON!!!!

sometimes it's hard to find street parking. you have to drive around looking for a spot. especially weekends in summer.
