I was told they do not offer payment plans and I had to pay upfront or be approved for care credit or their other financing. They wouldnt perform services without 50 percent down.

Yes, they do. Part of your first appt will be setting up a payment plan if it's needed. The ladies there are very friendly and will answer any questions you might have.
