I registered with Central Casting and I was happy because I was booked 4 times In the first 2&1/2 weeks, but since then I’ve received texts asking for availability yet I’m no longer being booked. Could the lack of booking be due to my age?

This is a fickle business, I registered in 2017 and got bookings up the wazoo then crickets. Get use to the word no but no doesn't define you. Have faith be stubborn and submit for jobs don't just rely upon Central Casting for bookings there's Casting Networks and a slew of other casting agencies. Now get to work

The needs of the production companies will vary and with thousands of us, there sometimes is no consistency to getting booked. It's not you, most likely it's a change to the script.

Thanks for your answers and advice. Roger, casting Networks seems to be the way to go, nearly everyone I’ve spoken with on set has told me that they use it and it’s working for them. Hopefully, it’ll work for me too. David, I get what you’re saying, but most jobs I’ve been askedg if I’m available for have wanted a cross section of New Yorkers which should mean those in their 60’s as well as younger people.
