Most Petco do dog adoptions and they are rescue dogs but only once or twice a month call your local Petco for dates
Look up animal shelters, since you're already on Google. Don't shop for pets.
North Shore Animal League is a great place to find a great dog.
I would search for a breeder rather than a storefront. You have a better chance of avoiding a puppy mill but its still not guaranteed. Just do plenty of research
Michael, all depends which kind of pet, and how much you have to spend. PetCo has poor variety of pets, they're more for supplies. Where do you live and what are you looking for?
Michael Vlogs, many places have closed down because of poor conditions. You can rescue a dog, cat at ASPCA, Animal Shelter, you can Google and on Facebook a lot of the pages shows where to adopt. Best of luck to you.
