I have two golden retrievers and needed a place for them to stay while trying to sell our home in Concord. I knew the female would do great there, but was worried abiut the male. Like you, he got along with our two Maltese dogs, but sometimes, he was aggressive when other dogs came near the house in our neighborhood. I liked the way CBW did the trial stay to introduce each one to the other digs. They both did great and I was put at ease letting them go there. Great place, but we no longer live in the area. I would definitely recommend them!
Hi Jan, if your dog loves to play with other pups then Camp Bow Wow would be grr-eat for her to make new friends! :) Please feel free to call us anytime for more information and to set up your free interview/trial day. You can also stop by anytime for a tour of our facility! :)
Jan, the counselors at CBW are like dog whisperers. For my pup, she got a trial time to see how well she did. They also have the more rambunctious dogs with each other and the chill dogs together. In essence they feel your dog out and figure what's best and if they would be a good fit. If you're just boarding overnight, your dog may not really be in the play yard a lot, it may be in its cabin during their off time.
Maybe... The dogs are screened at Camp Bow Wow...but it's really dependent on the way aggression is perceived by your dog. Like humans our expressions may tell some of the story but not all of it. I would consult a trainer to work on the issues before considering a boarding situation.
