Not sure. They did make a temp crown the day I had root canal. Week later got the permanent crown. Still in after 3yrs, no problems
We are excited about these new trends in technology and see the appeal of convenience to the patients. Digital dentistry technology is changing constantly like any other technology. By continually enhancing the quality of ceramics and the fit of the crowns, the digital scanners, milling units and software has to be updated and replaced within a short period of time ( we have two generations of the Cerec CAD/CAM crown machines and milling units); The laboratories we use utilize the scanning technology for all ceramic crowns and are able to keep up with this ever changing technology. However, we plan to bring this technology to our offices in the near future "once more" as soon as the technology stabilizes a bit; like 3-D cone beam imaging, lasers, digital sensors and intra-oral cameras which we have them all.
