Check to ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network. If you can connect to the internet on your computer your PC connection is not the issue.
Robert LaClare is right. Although, sometimes HP printers will need you to connect your printer with a usb cable or Ethernet cable. But the software that came with your printer should be able to guide you through all of the process to make it work.
Check your connection via the software for your new hp printer and which windows are you using you want to make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same wifi as your router
