All depends on the tow company. Some have hook up plus mileage and some have just mileage and some just have flat rates. But that also depends on what type of vehicle it is as well. To tow a Ford Taurus will be a different rate than towing a tractor trailer. As far as how it's handled. You pretty much just have to call that company and ask how much for the tow from point a to point b and what kinda vehicle it is.
