They use a machine that intravenously separates and collects the plasma from your blood. Then returns your blood back to you. It usually takes around four cycles (draws and returns) to collect the amount of plasma needed for your bodyweight. About forty five minutes.
For your first time go as early as you can. The intake process takes time, if it's too late in the day, they will turn you away.
