Be careful coming here as a first time donor or leaving current plasma center. So my experience is that I came here donated first time. No problems. Second, third and fourth attempt to donate did not go so well. So they have the New donor incentive where you receive 150 first time 150 second donation. Problem the blood pressure cuff is too small for my arm and if you have an error two times you are deferred. Third time purposely slow it took 1 hour to get to booth. I had to be to work the donation process takes 45 min once seated in plasma donation seat. By now I'm thinking they get you in with the $150 but you will not see another $150 based on my experience. Fourth time she said my pulse was too high. Yeah ok.....and my hematocrit was low by 1 point. So there goes the 150 gone. And my first donation according to them will be destroyed. Since I have not been able to donate. The.4th time is on me should of ate more iron rich foods. I barely ate the day before. But with that said this experience has turned me off from donating plasma.

You can get paid, and help save a life at the same time. They are very helpful, and it's a clean environment, and the staff are very friendly.

They use a machine that intravenously separates and collects the plasma from your blood. Then returns your blood back to you. It usually takes around four cycles (draws and returns) to collect the amount of plasma needed for your bodyweight. About forty five minutes.
