You just have to live within a 75 miles radius of the center that you want to donate at. I work at the mechanicsburg center.
They'll accept patients from anywhere. However I went there once, and if the person that did the needle knew what they were doing I wouldn't have ended up with a large bruise that prevented me from donating again for almost 2 weeks. They were extremely rude about it as well when I returned for my second donation. You can't donate there if you have a really dark purple bruise. A bruise occurring is a possibility, but it shouldn't have been that large. She stuck the needle through the vein causing a bleed under the skin, and it hurt the entire time. Plus the needle wasn't in right and I was there for nearly 3 hours. I found a different place to donate at.
