The pond is not actually IN the dog park. There is a small "run-off" pond immediately adjacent to the fenced-in dog park..... but I would not advise fishing nor dog wading there. There is access to the creek just off Watkins road, but with the rains recently, the creek has very strong currents, though later in the summer you could let dog wade over there I belive! The fishing is available over at Heron pond just off of Williams road.
