they only work through dealers and their dealers are clueless. Never buy a filter you can't service yourself. reply I find it silly that you want me to contact you about my issues "I have spoken to your customer service no less than 5 times and I'm always told I have to call a local dealer and you will not help me. Even though your dealers can't fix it. The local dealer installed the filter backwards. I paid them for 3 service calls trying to find out why my system doesn't work properly and they never noticed it was install backwards " I had to figure it out myself" Your manual says never connect it backwards" did that break my unit? You have a new dealer in my area the service tech showed up in a rotor router truck and said he knows nothing about your unit. So you are only a big marketing company and do not stand behind your product and your unknowledgeable dealers only want to sell and can't service what they sell. Like I said in my review " DON'T BUY A FILTER YOU CAN'T SERVICE YOURSELF". P.S. Emailing you will accomplish what? Looks like you care now that I Wrote a review? I have no confidence in anything you have to say at this point.

Have had our Hague system for 15 years. They include a RO system with the system. We have Hague change filters every year. By doing that, everything on the system is guaranteed. I would not trade it for anything. Trimble water smells and tastes like swimming pool water.

Yes, I would recommend the water softener, but when doing the online registration, the one I installed is not on the drop down. Water boss 700.

Our H6000 is a reverse osmosis filter that is non-electric, engineered to lower your utility bills and generate less waste while dispensing healthier water. https://www.haguewater.com/water-filters/reverse-osmosis-filters/h6000/
Typically, it does not. Municipal water treatment facilities are only required to ensure that the water they distribute meets the EPA health and safety standards for consumption. Since the minerals found in hard water are not a health hazard, there are usually no requirements for the removal of hard water elements. Over 85 percent of the United States has hard water, which is caused primarily by dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium. This can negatively affect many aspects of your household - from plumbing and appliance damage, to dry and irritated hair and skin. So while hard water isn’t dangerous, it can make your life a whole lot harder!
Yes! This affordable, easy to install faucet filter produces comparable results to higher-end filters. Any homeowner can have better tasting drinking water at a fraction of the cost of conventional filtration systems.
Soft water describes water that contains less than 1 grain-per-gallon of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Soft water has been proven to be better for water-using appliances, and gentler on hair and skin, while making soaps and detergents more effective too.
Reverse osmosis is changing the flow of the natural phenomenon of osmosis. Osmosis is the movement of a higher concentration of water molecules being drawn into an area that has a lower concentration of water molecules. With reverse osmosis, pressure is used to force water with a lower concentration (i.e. water with contaminants mixed in it) through a filter membrane into the area with a higher concentration of water molecules (i.e. purified water).
Regeneration consists of the sequences of cycles that are performed when a water softener, conditioner, or whole-home filter has reached its capacity. The process includes backwashing and rinse cycles that will dislodge the contaminants collected and flush them down the drain, allowing the space for more contaminants to be collected after regeneration is complete. Water softeners and conditioners will require salt added to a brine tank in order to complete their regeneration, while most whole-home filters require only water.
Absolutely! Visit our ‘Glossary’ page for terms associated with the water softener industry: https://www.haguewater.com/glossary/.
Our H3500 is a reverse osmosis filter designed to deliver quality drinking water to your family. It is tested and certified by the WQA to reduce arsenic, lead, nitrates, and other contaminants. The non-electric pump delivers water 5 times faster than conventional RO filters. It includes multi-stage filtration in one compact system so you know your water will look, smell, and taste great. We’re so confident in our H3500 filters, they also come with a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The WaterMax features up to three separate compartments that allow for the use of additional custom media options to address specific water treatment needs. Depending on the results of your water test, the corresponding media can be selected to remove the exact contaminant issues in your water.
Yes, water softener salt is necessary to ensure your system can properly perform all of its cycles, however, the WaterMax is very efficient and requires very little water and salt to operate. The WaterMax even has an optional audible salt alert feature so you know exactly when your softener needs more salt.

Bacteriastat protects your WaterMax media from bacteria growth. It is an agent that keeps your water softener from developing unsavory smells and odors.
Absolutely. Engineered by science, add-on filtration for the WaterMax is fully customizable and works to target selected contaminants, so you get soft, cleaner water, every time. Every WaterMax is built with Fine Mesh Resin and Bacteriastat, but there are nine other media you can add on to tackle your exact water issue. They include Chlorostat, Tannin Resin, Nitrate Select Resin, PC Carbon, Calcite, Birm, Ultra-fil, Sulferstat, and GreensandPlus. Contact one of our authorized dealers today to find out which is best for you!
Great question. Iron in the water supply can lead to yellowing and rusty stains on many home surfaces that come in contact with water. If you have well water in your home, it may seem like no amount of cleaning ever gets your toilets, tubs, and sinks free of reddish-brown stains. You may also notice that white laundry items like towels, sheets, and socks always become dingy-looking, no matter what detergent you use. In addition to this visible staining, not so obvious rust and crusty build-up can occur within the plumbing and water-using appliances. This eventually means everything has to work harder and use more energy, which also means your entire home’s efficiency is compromised. Iron can be treated with a whole-home filter to protect your plumbing from the build-up and stop those rust stains from coming back once and for all.
The world of water can be a complicated place. There are many different contaminants that may exist in your water and all of them need to be handled differently. Many water treatment dealers offer a free consultation, water testing, recommendation of the right product fit for your home, installation of that product, ongoing maintenance and service, and they can even deliver salt to your house. Check with your local dealer to see how they can help you through your home water treatment process to take the guesswork out of getting great water in your home.
In our experience, we have actually had some customers complain that their water is too slippery. They may find that the shampoo bottle slides out of their hands in the shower, or dishes may slip from their hands while washing them. In most cases, what’s happening is that they are using the same amount of soap that they always have, without realizing that far less soap is now needed to get the job done. Depending on how hard their water is, to begin with, we usually recommend that after the water softener is installed, customers use only a third or a half of what they’re accustomed to using until they get in the habit of what is necessary with their newly softened water.
Homeguard water softeners deliver powerful performance using a fraction of the space of typical water softeners. This low-maintenance unit is small enough to fit in areas with limited space such as boats, RV’s, condos, and apartments.
The Maximizer 97 is distinct from other softeners with its compact single cabinet design. This is the perfect option for those looking to enjoy soft water without sacrificing a lot of space. Our patented vacuum-packed resin allows for maximum softening power in half the space to fit seamlessly with an easy-to-fill salt tank.
With our patented three-compartment design, the WaterMax can remove hardness, foul smells, bad tastes, cloudiness, and discoloration from your water in a single compact system. Other advantages include computerized, fully customizable controls, a built-in self-cleaning filter (no filter replacements), and more. It’s certainly worth checking out.
We are confident in the quality of the WaterMax that we back it with a 25 year warranty. The built-in dirt and sediment filter and features like computerized, fully-customizable controls mean the WaterMax will provide many years of worry-free water treatment.
We do not recommend installing them yourself. To ensure our products are applied properly, all systems are sold and installed by our network of factory-trained dealers. Our warranty does not cover damage to a part or parts of the appliance resulting from improper installation, therefore we recommend installation be done by a Hague Authorized Dealer.
The WaterMax provides a unique water treatment solution that is customizable to treat both city water problems and well water problems. With its patented 3-chamber design, your local dealership can create the perfect combination of media inside to solve your exact needs.
A water softener is the most effective way to treat hard water. The softener reduces amounts of magnesium and calcium that cause hard water by removing those minerals through a process called ion exchange. The resin inside a water softener works like a magnet to collect the positively charged minerals. A water filter removes unwanted contaminants through the use of a filtration media that is designed to address specific elements. Filters work more like a net to capture the particles they are designed to remove. Multiple types of filtration may be necessary, depending on the composition of the water.
To register for the extended warranty, please complete the standard warranty card that came with the product and attach the associated Extended Warranty information to the card you received from your local dealer. Reverse osmosis is a water filtration method that removes chemicals, microbes, debris, lead, and minerals from tap water. Not only is the pH of reverse osmosis water in the healthy range of 5 – 7, RO water treatment provides the highest quality and best tasting drinking water.
Absolutely, we do! You can read posts from our blog using this link: https://www.haguewater.com/water-blog/.

The design of conventional water treatment units leads to water channeling or tunneling down the middle of the resin, which results in water never reaching the outer supply. Hard water will follow this path after the resin is too exhausted to attract any more minerals, even though there are pockets of unused media that are ready and able to perform the task. This can lead to hardness making it past the softener and into your home, rendering the system useless until it is scheduled to regenerate the resin inside making it ready to take on more hardness. However, the WaterMax is engineered with a baffle and multiple distribution screens, allowing the water to spread evenly through the tank to prevent water channeling. The result is complete use of all the media inside between regenerations giving you the performance you expect from the equipment.
The Hague Maximizer is a comprehensive and patented water softener system designed to provide your home with soft water and money saving opportunities. Patented, comprehensive water treatment system features a color smart touch controller, single cabinet design, and an easy-to-fill salt tank. Feel the difference with the soft water you deserve.
These rust stains on your laundry may be from iron containment in your water. Even though your water may look clear, it could still be bringing dissolved iron into your home. Take note of whether your sinks are getting this rust colored stain too. Removing dissolved iron can be done easily without harsh chemicals or complicated equipment. Our Hague Iron Filter uses nature’s own oxidation process to remove the iron, so you can enjoy your water again. https://www.haguewater.com/water-filters/iron-filter/
Yes, it does. In fact, the H3500 Water Filter reduces more than 93% of fluoride for cleaner, healthier water.
With the purchase of your H6000 filter, your limited warranty will be good for the next 25 years.
It’s certainly a possibility. Old pipes in homes built before 1989 are at higher risk of containing lead. If lead is present, it is important to purchase a lead reducing filter that is certified or replace your home’s water pipes. Hague has multiple certified drinking water filters to choose from.
There are a variety of different contaminants that could be in your water, including chlorine, iron, sulfur, lead, fluoride, and more. For the full list of what could be in your water, visit our ‘Common Water Problems’ page: https://www.haguewater.com/common-water-problems/#test2l.
You can register via our warranty registration page on our website. Simply fill out the form and submit: https://www.haguewater.com/warranty-registration/. Thank you!
Not necessarily. The municipal water treatment facilities that provide city water are required to assure that the water they distribute meets the EPA standards for health and safety for consumption. There are no requirements for the removal of elements that can have a damaging effect on your home. If these minerals, such as chlorine, are making your experience less than desirable, you may want to invest in our WaterMax for whole-house filtering and softening.
The Hydroclean, PuraTechⓇ, and Homeguard all have10 year limited warranties. The Maximizer 97MM and 6/96MM both have 15 year limited warranties, and the WaterMaxⓇ has a 25 year limited warranty. Hague is the longest standing major water treatment manufacturer, with continuous ownership and operation of Ohio since 1960. We manufacture our products in the United States with worldwide distribution.
Water with a low pH level is called acid water. Acid water damages dishes and stemware and is harmful to expensive plumbing fixtures. We recommend one of our Hydroclean Filters called the Acid Neutralizer, which automatically corrects low pH water. You can read more about it here: https://www.haguewater.com/water-filters/hc3-filters/
Our Main Faucet Filter is the product you need. No drilling is necessary and a designated faucet is not required. Made to reduce lead plus chlorine taste and odor from your cold water line without dropping pressure. https://www.haguewater.com/water-filters/main-faucet-filter/
The WaterMax® is energy-efficient, water-saving, and corrosion-resistant for fresh, soft water every time.
We absolutely do. Hague offers the LC100P Reverse Osmosis system that produces 100 gallons of filtered water per day. You can read more about it here: https://www.haguewater.com/water-filters/reverse-osmosis-filters/lc100p/.
We have tried to make our website as informative as possible for consumers, like you. who are not water softener experts. You can find a Glossary of Terms to help you understand some of the verbiage used here: https://www.haguewater.com/glossary/. We also try to explain how the softening process works here: https://www.haguewater.com/how-water-softener-works/. And, of course, one of our dealers would love to answer any of your questions.
Although you may be immune to the obvious signs, the effects of hard water are usually pretty obvious: faucets covered in stains, chronically dry skin, spotty dishes, and faded clothes just to name a few. If you have hard water, you should invest in a water softener. Avoid plumbing issues, extend the life of your water heater and clothing. Contact a Hauge Dealer near you for details. https://www.haguewater.com/hague-dealers/
Most important, RO filters toxins, microbes, debris, lead and minerals, which provides you with the highest quality of drinking water. Not only is it healthier, it tastes better - improving the quality of your coffee, food and, of course, drinking water.
It is a known fact that it is common practice for fluoride to be added to tap water; the question is how much before it becomes harmful?. As recent as 2015 the Department of Health and Human Services recommended that the amount of fluoride added to tap water be reduced by 40%. If you are concerned, contact a Hague Dealer. We will come to your home and test the fluoride levels in your tap water and recommend ways to make sure the water in your home is safe for your family to consume.
