If I had hepc and got cleared of it using the interferon can I still donate? I test negative for the hepc when I get my check ups.

If you test negative then I would think you'd be ok. I would go into the center and bring that up when you see the nurse for the first time .

Candace, no, you cannot donate. I work at Octapharma Plasma... You can't donate because we don't test for virus, we screen for antibodies. Antibodies/antigens are always present after contact. You don't even have to contract Hep C for it to show. If you come in contact with it, but don't actually contract Hep C or another virus... It still disqualifies you.
