Go to the ny dmv website, pick what you want to do (i.e. out of state drivers license transfer), and the website will tell you the proof of ID documentation the DMV will require. While you're at it, schedule an appointment with the DMV to avoid the long line. The time to avoid paying NY insurance rate is up, you're in the big city now--welcome to the club!!!
