Surprisingly, many popular places are closed for a few days over the New Year holiday which is celebrated over a week or even longer if it falls between the weekends. Best to check.
You're going to have a great time here in NYC for lunar year celebrations. I've never known BIG WONG to be closed. They're always busy so you may have to wait in line but, they are VERY quick. The best roast pork and duck ever! The congee seems to be really popular too.
