Pending availability for matinee on Saturday, 1/5, you can actually purchase tickets on Friday, 1/4. And Mitch Granat'a advice is helpful re: getting sense of likelihood of availability.
If you want the matinee you can check the 4th. They sell matinee tickets the day before.
