A paycheck? Or a pair of UGGS?? If it is UGG boots wear them and put small shoes in the suitcase, or fill the boots with clothes and try to fit them in the suitcase. I'm not sure if you can just walk around the airport with a box of shoes.

Shouldn't be a problem. Take them as a carry-on as long as it fits in front of you under the seat completely then It should be okay.
