Very sorry for this unfortunate situation. I'm happy that I don't have any children in the NYC school system or any system for that matter. I work for the NYC DOE but in the Administrative end of the school transportation system. There is so much drama going on in the buses that I don't know what to think any more. You can only wonder what would effectively teach discipline to these children. A word to the wise: if you can't be a responsible and mature parent, then don't think of having any children.
The mayor removed the ability to discipline disrespectful kids. You want to blame anyone blame him, his chancellor and those who reelected him for a 2nd term
