It depends on the age and breed of the animal. I've seen Pit Bulls for only $20 in the past. But if you adopt a puppy or kitten it will definitely be more $$. You are paying for the medical costs of the animal. (Vaccinations, vets, spay/neuter, etc.) I would suggest calling in advance an if they have any promos going on.
I adopted 2 chihuahuas and only paid 25$ each. If you call them some times they have free adoption all you pay for is the shots. But it is tru e older dogs are cheaper to adopt.
You're paying for all the shots/vaccinations and spay/neuter. Puppies are the most expensive and seniors are cheapest.
All fees are different. I adopted older dogs and I only paid $25.00 each.
