I don't think it's lame, but after 15 years working there I still love walking onto the turbine deck, down to intake, or over to the outfall. I guess it depends on how much you enjoy technical tours. They aren't going to allow you into the control room or containment, or let you wander around where you can trip the plant or change plant configuration if that's what you are expecting.
Several years back I went on a tour that included marine biology of the connected bay ecology.
I've done the tour, it covered pretty much what you described, but I found it extremely interesting. If you are interested in technical stuff I can highly recommend the tour. Also, there's nothing like experiencing the atmosphere in a working power plant firsthand.

How do you sign up for a tour?
They also take you onto the Turbine deck in the plant. Can't remember if there is anything else or not. It is a cool tour of you have any interest in this sorry of thing.
