Why is it more expensive to have wisdom teeth removed in the DFW metroplex than Utah? :( I wouldn't mind driving to Utah and pay 900 for all 4 teeth to be removed.

Hi Diana, dental and oral surgery fees do very greatly from state to state and even within rural vs metro areas of a given state. There are multiple factors that go into that. I can tell you that Utah is the lowest in the US for dental fees so not really comparable to most areas of the country. DFW is more average. Certainly we have had patients come to Utah from other states but usually those within driving distance. When you factor in airfare, hotel, etc you wouldn't save much money. Hope that helps.

I had my upper and lower wisdom teeth removed within different years by different dentists. My upper was done by Mint. Mint couldn't do my lower because they were too impacted. They did my upper WT at a great price. Fast forward to this year (2018) to my lower WT for the first time in my life actually started to bother me. The WTG also removed my bottom at an affordable price. I feel it all depends on your insurance. My insurance is great! Comparing 2 different states dental prices is reaching to me, lol, but do what u have to do. I am from another state as well, and yes, the prices maybe cheaper, but I wasn't about to deal with pain, hop on a plane and go to my home state just for a slightly cheaper co-pay. If you're not in pain, and want to go to another state, do you. You will have to Google the reason states are different in dental prices or ask your dentist. Good luck!!!👍
