No that sounds like an unfortunate exception. We had a great experience here! No more than 10 -15 minutes to wait for assistance.
The aides are terrible. There will be 4-5 lights lit in a hallway n I've found them up chi chatting at the nurses station. I asked one to come down to the room so person cud go to bathroom. Said she'd be right there. Never came at all. I asked her if they were short aides....she said there were five on duty. Since there are no alarms on beds patient got up, used her walker n went herself. These are lawsuits waiting to happen when someone falls.
It depends on how many are on the shift, and how competent the supervisor is. And how the shift workers feel about doing a particular task. Some are outstanding. Some are slugs. Supervisory skill is essential and in some, it is absent.
No, it doesn't take that long. 10-15 minutes tops. its not instant, but if you needed instant help you wouldnt have been let out of the hospital. They aren't doing things "cheaply" as another lady said. The people who work there and the people who own the company care about the patients. it's not that they don't hire enough staff-its that there aint enough people certified in the community that can work in healthcare. i used to be in the field. theres a shortage of healthcare workers in all 50 states. try going to some of the other places near by. this is the best one you will find.
I never waited more than 10-15 minutes. The caregivers were the ball with everything i needed.
