If you are planning on keeping your home to live in you must reaffirm your house by filing out a reaffirm ation agreement which your mortgage company normally give you to the forms to. fill out after they fill out their portion and then they will file it with the court to reaffirm the house letting them know you want to keep your house if that is your intentionI
A filed Statement of Intention form (form 108) will trigger a creditor. You could also contact the creditor. The larger question for you to answer is whether you want to reaffirm the mortgage at all. Reporting to a credit bureau is a very weak incentive for a reaffirmation.
