There's a covered pavilion with seats that you have to pay extra for, and then the lawn for mostly standing. But you can bring blankets and half sized (beach) chairs
Are the lawn seats assigned seating? It looks that way when you buy tickets. Also which are the best?

Pavillion is set up in rows of seating that are closest to the stage and covered by a shelter. The lawn is behind pavilion with no seating and no cover. It is astroturf, but you can bring blankets to sit on. There are large screens at the front of the lawn to watch the concert from.
In the pavilion? There's simply not a bad seat. ANYWHERE. Now in the outdoor Music City Hall... I don't think there's a bad seat either. The lawn seats are clean & sod is clean.
