Good Afternoon, our land lord came into our apartment with no 24hr notice and brought the police as well to do an emergency fix on our toilet but it wasn't broken it was running longer than usual. we were at work while this happend. is this even ok?

I agree with Damian. A landlord must give 24hr notice to enter your unit and unless the leaking toliet was flooding or causing damages. And they must have made attempts to contact you before entry. However I also advise for you to call Chicago tenant rights immediately

I would suggest emailing Chicago tenant rights directly, they should be able to address this issue! This does seem a little off, but email them and try to speak with Charles Drennen, or any of his associates!
