If the show's late enough, meters are fine. South of the venue, by the school, on side streets can work too.
I park on the street and use the Park Chicago App.

Do not park on the north side of throop st. (The side with no park on it). That side is permit only and you will get a ticket.
Valet or street parking. You might find free parking but be cautious of permit parking. On the weekends I would take a lyft/uber. Zero chance finding parking then.
Throop & 19 th a block before allport! There is vallet parking too
Be patient, may rake a little time, but you'll find street parking.
