Almost 100% of US pork is raised in nasty, abusive, disgusting factory farms. Your best bet for humane, pasture pork is Canadian pork, like DuBreton, or grocery brands that source from Canada. Another alternative is Pederson's (US, TX) who have committed to some humane standards. Also look to local farmers who raise woodlot pigs. US factory farm pork production is the worst and most disgusting out of all the staple animals eaten in the US. Google "factory farmed pork" and you'll have your answer. Thanks for reaching out Ms. Monk! Good question! Sows are not raised in a pasture, so no. At some point a 3-5 year old animal will get ill. A farmer will not let the sow die of disease to protect his investment in the sow and her offspring. So no, at this time our products are not "never ever antibiotic free." If you'd like to learn more about best antibiotic practices in the pork industry, here's an article we can recommend: https://www.pork.org/public-health/responsible-antibiotic-use-farm/
