Thank you.more Qs... If you moored. South of the channel, is there anywhere you could just dock, or beach your dingy? How about parking a car. I'm probably gonna just pay the rate, but just wondering? Thanks again.
We are paying $340/mo for a mooring ball. That price includes dinghy dockage and access to all of the marina's facilities. Regarding anchoring, yes there are several places where you can legally anchor. One anchor spot is just to the west of the island as you're coming into the main channel. You will see boats anchored just to the south of the channel. Once you come into the entrance to the harbor you will find boats anchored on both the left and right sides of the channel. If you stay in the channel and continue through the harbor you will come to Sisters Creek. About a half mile up the creek you will also find several boats anchored there with their anchors in the middle of the creek and their sterns tied into the mangroves. We have found sisters Creek to be the best anchoring option for us. if you anchor the marina will still charge you $280 per month for use of their facilities their dinghy dock and their pump-out boat
