Hi i have a 57 cadillac coupe its not running right it sounds like its miss fireing i was going to put a electronic ignition on and get rid of the points and condencer would this be better

I concur I would go electric and get rid of the points and do a complete tune up of the ignition system

It will more reliable, but it may not solve all your issues I suggest you clean and regap plugs.

I would go electric over points if you aren't trying to keep it original. Way better setup
