Yes, there are a few short nature trails. They run between the East and West access so you can park on either side, Legion Road or Ernest Street, to find them.
Yes! There are a couple different paths. From the lit if you head straight from the road there is a easy path that leads to an open area, and goes back even further. There is a second path to the right of that in the clearing that is more difficult to pass, but is a great hike. One of my favorite parks.
