Bear Lake is just a two-mile hike through the woods it's a very beautiful place to fish and you better have your Colorado license handy it's heavily patrolled by the park rangers. You probably won't catch anything it is heavily fished but just remember a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
Yes, there's 2 lakes along the hiking trails that you can fish at. Are you likely to catch anything? No. But you can fish nonetheless
What J Folk and kyler said are spot on. I would recommend making a drive to the white river national forest west of rmnp. I've had good luck on lakes out there in the past.
