I concur with Alan. It's frustrating because if not for the bright lights around the pool & hot tub area, and a few dimmer lights around the walkways, it would be an amazing place to star gaze. We kept our room lights out and used our spotter scope and had some decent star gazing nonetheless.
It’s better than a metro area since the lodge isn’t in town, but there are some lights around the property. We did enjoy building a fire in the fire ring (when it’s permitted) and taking in the stars. Obviously, the closer you get to the lake shore, the better the conditions will be, and it’s a short walk away.
