The pool and hot tub were the best part, one star for each of those. We saw different spiders in the room every day (we were there for 5), one dropped from the ceiling in the bathroom towards my husband’s head. The front desk staff didn’t seem concerned when we told them, stating “we can’t spray while your staying there” offering no other solution or action they might take after we left. I paid for the romance package and they forgot to put it in the room, instead had me carry a bucket with champagne and stemmed glasses and box of chocolates down myself. The wall paper was peeling up in large sections in the bathroom and the carpet was stained where water that leaks out of the shower runs out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing: tiny packaged muffins, apples, bananas, and yoplait yogurt. This place needs help.

My husband and I stayed at Mountain Lake Lodge for our anniversary and it was lovely. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were so relaxing with the most amazing view! We had a delicious dinner at Pesca (highly recommend the Walleye!) and we overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. We had an issue the next morning at breakfast, but the manager, Kim, more than resolved the issue and was a pleasure to work with (Thank you, Kim!). We will definitely return!
