There is a no-go zone around the Statue of Liberty that boats need to stay out of. We get very close to the legal limit. From the line to the actual center of the Statue of Liberty is approximately 800 feet. The island is about 500 as the other commentator stated.
Probably around 500 ft. It's just my estimation. The boat will get close enoughfor people to see it and take some pictures but not too close of the island.
