I need to get a replacement social security card. I would like to get this on the same day. I live in Northeast Phila. Can I go to Welch Road location? If not what office handles this? What documents do I need to have? What form do I need ?

If you live in Philadelphia need to go to SSA card center location at 2 Penn Center, in center city. Can also request replacement card online at www.ssa.gov by creating your my Social Security account if you have a Pa drivers license.

I have been to Penn Center. I believe they are closed. Before covid you'd go in person. You can now request online, create an account & then request a replacement. I'm not sure if Ashton Rd office provides that service I just used the online help request to send an email to SS Department. I think that's easier than calling & waiting. Good Luck.
