I (50%) own property in McDowell County with my daughter and son-in-law (50%). I would like to remove my name from the deed. Can I do this remotely (I live in KY)? Is there a charge?

Thank you for your message. This is a simple process but our office is prohibited from providing legal advice. The best option is to ask an attorney to assist in the preparation of a new deed removing you as an owner. We look forward to assisting you with the recording of any new records. You can also retrieve copies of your deeds and filings for free at mcdowelldeeds.com

By getting a limited power of attorney for that particular action and using a service called Docusighn you could do that action.
