It is for sure more work, but it also depends on many factors(fish only or corals as well being the main one) just do your research and if you can't devote the time for an RO unit and weekly water changes its probably best to stick with fresh water

Definitely more work. You have to get the salt Just Right for the specific fish then maintain that level forever, or they die.
