For actually being haunted know however batsto means bathing place the town started as an Iron Works in 1766 has the Ironworks died off they eventually went into glass making business later on a businessman Joseph Worton bought the town itself in 1876 making this a forest agricultural form land he died later in 1909 their last resonance moved out in 1989 of batsto leaving it empty therefore it's recognized as an old school ghost town all the buildings and structures remain but all the residents are gone the post office is in still working condition and there are General Store Gristmill if you other attractions

It is very historic and feels like you are stepping back in time. Its very quiet and peaceful there. As for haunted, i ak sure there are plenty if stories. If you take the tour of the mansion they can tell you some.
