They can't promise a specific car, as there may be a limited number of that type of vehicle or recall involving that vehicle. However if you give a few days notice about a specific car they make the effort to get it for you.

If it's on the lot and not reserved to someone else, my experience is the staff will do their best to let you choose a car. There is also a possibility if you call the store directly, they can try to get the car you want.
